We also managed to do that, I was cheryl and my friend was executioner.
When you are tormented and in the dying state, when he sends you to his cage he can actually cancel that animation, not sending you to the cage at all.
Once that is done, no matter if you (Cheryl) heal yourself you get the animation if you are on the killers shoulders, like you are picked up.
This only seems to work when the killer is actually attacking, vaulting or doing similar tasks.
We managed to reproduce it 100% without fail.
It's also incredibly funny to see her floating mid air :D
