Ghostface is bugged (PC)

I don't know if Im doing something wrong, I believe not, but there are times I am literally having a staredown with the killer and I don't reveal him. Then there are other times where I'm trying to be immersed and look away but I reveal him, and that shows him where I am completely ######### with my stealth. Is there a proper way to reveal a ghostface I don't know about?
