PC - third person camera desync

Step 1 : Play as survivor in a public match

Step 2 : In-game, get hooked by the killer and then get unhooked by another survivor

Step 3 : Notice the third person camera desync occuring in some cases when your character is slightly deviated from the axis of the actual camera placement, noticable especially while running and pressing A&D repeatedly compared to normal

I don't know what is the cause of this issue, but you can fix it in-game by going in and out of a locker, still very annoying though

edit: just found out that this is the same problem as is here, with a video: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/153651/dwights-character-gets-weird-movement-after-the-unhook#latest

edit2: and another one https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/154520/pc-weird-collision-and-movements#latest

  • Just want to add to this that the bugged effect can be reduced, (not entirely removed) once interacting with something that locks the character in place. E.g. working on a gen, healing a survivor, etc.

  • yo can somebody look into this? i feel like it's a very trivial bug that would be easy to fix but it affects the gameplay quite a bit, still persists

  • I play on pc with a xbox-Controller and have the same problem. During the match the fov is changed and the movement while running with left/right it feels inconsistent :(

It makes me mad, it’s impossible to have good chases cause I‘m stuck everywhere

  • Does the devs know about this bug??

  • no idea, they don't seem to care though

  • thanks for the heads up, I don't intend to que up into this game again until this is fixed

  • 2 months, bug is still in the game
