Possible Vigil Buff

Hi all! This is my first post here on the forums and I have a suggestion that could make Vigil more of use. As of now, Vigil helps recover from the Exhausted, Hemorrhage, Mangled, Hindered, and Blindness status effects 10%/15%/20% faster. The problem with this is that it only accounts for the listed status effects that are timer based. This means that when effected by a status effect that doesn't end from a timer, (i.e. Hemorrhage + Mangled from Sloppy Butcher or Blindness from The Third Seal) Vigil has no value. The idea is to make it so that when using Vigil, there is a counter to the status effect and make it less effective whether the effect is on a timer or not.

Additionally, Vigil should help recover from the Broken, Oblivious, and Exposed effects faster along with being less effective to the user.

Here are my suggested ideas for each status effect when using Vigil...

  • Exhausted - While staying crouched and motionless, recover from Exhaustion 25% faster. (Working on a generator is not considered being crouched and motionless and is not active during a chase.)
  • Hemorrhage - Slightly reduces bleeding frequency.
  • Mangled- Reduces healing speed penalty by 10%.
  • Hindered- Reduces movement speed penalty by 3%.
  • Blindness- Aura reading ranges and/or aura reading durations are reduced by 50% instead of being completely negated. (The blindness effect when hiding in a locker will override the Vigil effects.)
  • Broken- Survivors can recover at least 25% of their healing progress bar while the effect remains active. (Survivors using No Mither or are fully infected by Vile Purge cannot recover as it serves no purpose despite being under the Broken status effect.)
  • Oblivious- Survivors can still hear the Terror Radius within 8 meters of the killer. (Only exception is with The Nightmare while in the Dream World.)
  • Exposed- After being chased by the killer for 60 seconds at the instant the effect is applied, the Exposed effect is ignored.

Quick thing to note about the Exposed effect. Vigil will only increase the recovery speed for Exposed effects caused by killer perks. This means that Evil Within and Night Shroud Exposed effect times are not affected by Vigil, but can still be "ignored" if the killer were to use add-ons to extend the Exposed effect duration. As of now, Vigil would help recover Exposed effects faster from Make Your Choice, Haunted Grounds, and Iron Maiden.

Last thing to note, the special properties for each status effect only applies to the perk owner. Survivors will only receive the faster recovery rate when they come near another survivor using Vigil.
