Sorry for the dumb question

How does the DC penalty work? Like if I DC now I know I get a 5 min ban but after that if I DC again? And what makes the timer get reduced? Like how many matches do I have to play in order to get the DC ban reduced.

P.S just a question, I have never DC'ed or plan to, though the game once lagged out and I got the 5 min ban
