Dead By Daylight| Making Rank Rewards like other games |
A thing has been going around the community alot, "When will we get rank rewards", "Are we ever gonna get rank rewards?", etc etc
I play a lot of games with Rank Rewards in them, Rainbow 6 Siege, Apex Legends, Paladins on rare occasion, and more.
2 of these games have something in common, the rank reward in Rainbow 6 siege and Apex Legends involve a Weapon Charm, usually relating towards the current season in game. Apex involves Dive trails and Badges but those won't work in this game, but Charms do.
With the MMR system, rank will become a tool used to boast about how good you are, but lets change that shall we?
Rank Change Idea
Killer Emblem
Survivor Emblem
Rank is still its normal colours, but each rank is harder to reach than the previous.
Ranks 20-17: No way to lose rank, but no rewards for it. Each time you rank up, you need atleast 2 pips for each rank up
Ranks 16-13: You cannot lose rank, you do get rewards still. You need atleast 4 pips to rank up now.
Killer: Bronze Killer emblem
Survivor: Bronze Survivor Emblem
Ranks 12-9: You can lose rank, you are subtracted 1 pip towards ranking up. You have to earn 6 pips to rank up now for each rank. You do get rewards here however.
Killer: Silver Killer Emblem
Survivor: Silver Survivor Emblem
Ranks 8-5:You can lose rank, subtracted 1 pip here towards ranking up. You have to earn 8 pips to rank up for each rank. You do get rewards here.
Killer: Gold Killer Emblem, Entity Claws around the Emblem
Survivor: Gold Survivor emblem, Entity Claws around the emblem
Ranks 4-1: You can lose rank, Subtracted 2 pips. You have to earn 12 pips. YOU MUST ESCAPE NOW TO EARN OR LOSE ANY PIPS. You get rewards here.
Killer: Iridescent Killer Emblem, Entity Claws twitch on the emblem now.
Survivor: Iridescent Survivor emblem, Entity Claws twitch on the emblem now.
Rank Reset Rework
In order for this to be possible, rank reset MUST be reworked for it
Now, when the Mid-Chapter update or Chapter Update is released, all players are reset back to rank 20.
