We need MORE communication

These satisfaction surveys are ncie and all.... But apart from the infrequent developer streams where questions are cherry picked from a thread they asked for questions in and the occasional forum response that addresses a comment rather than the point of the discussion 65% of the time there's very little communication.

The proposed changes for the nurse and doctor were only announced mere days before their release. Developers. Please actively involve your community in the process of balancing and adding things to this game, let us know about planned changes at least a month before you plan to put it on the PTB. Being forced to wait a month and a half for frustrating changes to be addressed within the game is in itself frustrating and unfun.

I understand that it's impossible to read absolutely every comment in every thread so why not just up the frequency of surveys? "

You could make a list of proposed changes, put them into a survey and then receive the general opinions on those changes

  • They've tried sharing details while they're still being developed in the past, and it's turned out really badly. Most players don't know how to distinguish between "this is something we're thinking about doing" and "this is something we're going to implement in the future". Ideas were interpreted as promises, and then when plans changed down the line, people were angry and disappointed and everyone felt bad. More communication would be nice, but there is an extent to which the community has only itself to blame for the lack thereof.

More surveys could work. They inform you about changes, but without telling you if its really going to be added or not. It also gives players an ability to rate the ideas without being pieces of ######### and creating rage threads every time a change is proposed.

It's a bit of a double-edged sword. As much as some people might appreciate the opportunity to have their voices heard, I imagine many more will get upset and resent the developers even further if their ideas don't end up being implemented. That kind of attitude is already way too prevalent. If they don't ask for feedback, it's "why didn't you ask for our feedback? You clearly know nothing about the game so you should listen to us" and if they do ask for feedback but don't then comply with the players' every demand, it's "why even ask for feedback if you're not going to use it? The devs don't care about our opinions, they just pretend they do for publicity". Whatever they do, people will find something to be angry about.

Let me be clear, I too would like to know more about what goes on behind the scenes and have some input on the process, but at the same time, given how spoiled and entitled a lot of the community act when things don't go their way, I can absolutely understand why the devs might be reluctant to implement such practices.

  • Surveys are designed to answer BHVR questions eg What do you think to the Ruined ruin nerf... rework?

Q&A streams are questions vetted by BHVR then asked to BHVR by BHVR...

The time of them listening has passed, simply they don't care to listen and will kill the golden goose it seems

  • I would just like more transparency. It took WEEKS before I saw anything that I would deem "official" of someone saying "yes matchmaking is screwed up and we are figuring it out". Usually it was some safe copy paste vague-ism.

I would like to see stuff like "This got messed up because of X. We know what we broke and we are working on it. This programming stuff is trickier than you'd think". Instead we get what feels like cold corporate rhetoric. Real people want a real conversation. Not canned answers.

  • Maybe find something else to do with your life instead playing 1 single game the whole day dude it helps.
