Killer Ideas from Night of the Hunter
Has anybody seen Night of the Hunter (1955)?
The killer is this preacher who marries widows and kills them for their money, his weapon is a switchblade and he's pretty merciless. He has this wholesome facade that fools everyone and in the movie he even has a terror radius of sorts, he calmly sings hymns while stalking his victims and that could be a really creepy lullaby/freddy song effect. They think they lost him but hear the singing as he appears over the horizon, he's quite scary, especially for something from the 50's. Example at about 1:04
