A message to the Developers.
So with the recent announcement of a MMR style system coming into the game i want to voice my issue with this and how this will end up hurting not only the game health of dead by daylight but could all together take a chunk out of the player base if this is added.
So the major thing that makes this system bad is the RNG that is very present within the game MMR is a system designed around skill based games which im very sorry to say Dead by Daylight Flaws that ideal not only with RNG but also the fact a huntress for example can run Iri Heads every game does this make them good? Well in the eyes of the community not really but in the eyes of the MMR system it can be flawed for this reason and be abused majorly.
Game Health has always been something you guys have prided yourself about so please take this into account once you release this system if you remove the idea of "rank" and you instead make it hidden which takes away the whole purpose of a ranking system and instead you make some of the "Hardcore" players who do care about rank leave as now the game becomes just a repetitive game that makes it no different then anything else. I've always said rank meant nothing but it meant nothing because there is no real reflection of skill and even with an MMR system IT really will mean nothing even to the people who actually care about rank in general.
All this system will do is make people play less competitively and troll or farm which takes away the point of dead by daylight this is the biggest Red Flag i have seen from you guys some wont realize what this could do to the game but if you want the Veterans gone and only the casuals to remain this could be the nail in the coffin it's not good for game health this is a dangerous thing to do if you add this i can almost promise A lot of people will leave the game i know some people will remain but most will move on to a game where they can find some "competitive " aspects that are not hidden.
As someone who has been a huge fan of this game i want what is best for the game as well as many others here but i feel a lot of the community needs to come together here and show the Developers this is not the way to take this id rather wait another 6 months for a ranking system that would be healthy then for this VERY FLAWED system to be added to the game and the removal of rank pretty much. Regardless of what side of the game you play this effects everyone Equally if you don't speak now this will be added and this will result in the down fall of the game im not here to be negative or sit here and claim the game is dying im simply here to voice my concern as someone who loves this game but knows once you remove rank from a game you feed more and more into the casual players and you take a big part of this game away and you honestly remove the feeling of accomplishment which has been lacking in the game to begin with the point of rank in this game and you have said it yourself is bragging rights why remove that ability.
If you want to take rank out of matchmaking that's one thing but hiding it will only hurt the last thing you guys really having going for you to those who will say oh you are over reacting understand this is a move to cater not only to the casual players but this is a huge middle finger to those who have been around since day one Behavior i urge you not to make this mistake with that being said thank you for reading.
