You just blew your own game.
Just made a few games with the new ruin perk. You are so worried about new survivor players? How about new killer players?
Here is my experience, i came to this game on my own without any recommendations from friends or anything. I really enjoyed playing killer since i am a horror movies fan. Now to the game.
I mostly play killer but i play survivor too and enjoy it since you see things in other perspective and learn more about the game.
As a survivor ruin made me try harder to hit skill checks and in fact made me better at it as it did made me realize there could be more objectives than to stick on generators. As a killer it help me to get on my feet early to mid game to have a chance since in rank 8 i am mostly playing against rank 2 and even rank 1 players wich mean they are veterans to this game with all right cause they are good players and even still are toxic as s**** if you do reasonbly well.
Without ruin now? Even using Whispers to find someone asap best case scenario when i down the first survivor AT LEAST 1 generator is done and i cant be in every place on the same time. Meaning this game became a complete frustration for killer side even when it was before with ruin being destroyed at the first 2 minutes of gameplay.
My point? Survivor queue times were already high considering you needed 4 players vs only 1 killer wich is needed to start a game. You will see in the next few weeks how many people will be willing to play this game on killer side.
Not only you didnt find alternatives for ruin with useless perks that you already have including for example the 3 perks of wraith that are a killer specific but you "ruined" the only one that was truly viable.
Have you question yourselves why every killer used ruin? with so many perks that are already on the game? And in all of those considering the hex perks only which are easly countered leaving a player playing a whole match with 3 or less perks while survivor wich are 4 players that must be hit twice to be hoocked 3 times to die dont have any perk that compares to that?
Bottom line, the few killer players will eventually get fed up with this and drop the game or join survivor until get bored of waiting in the lobby.
This is a sad day for this game.
