    I get this error every update. Here's how to fix. in steam right click on dead by daylight, go to the local files tab, then verify the integrity of game files. You'll be told that some of the files need to be reinstalled, but it'll work after that.

    Thanks it worked but it's a joke that I have to do it and as often as every update seemingly.
