Why do people think a gen speed change is coming?

I keep seeing people defend the Rujj nerf ad, “Devs are planning to adjust gen speed but they couldn’t do both at the same time.”

What are you guys smoking and where can I get some? What gives you an indication they would make players hold M1 longer, supposedly that is sooo boring. If anything survivors want gens done quicker.

    Seriously, the only thing they should do at this point is work on making the big maps smaller. We all know they aren't increasing gen speed and anyone who says they are is a moron, they did it before and it didn't work then so why would they do it again. However making large maps smaller would keep maps like the game from being anymore killer sided but fixes the problem of maps being un-patrolable for killers with no mobility tool which survivors tend to forget exist.
