Dying state/slugged built in aura reading
What do you guys think about this mechanic?
I was trying to think about some of the mechanics that assists SWF to be stronger than it should when this came to mind.
When slugged, that person needs someone to come rescue them so it makes sense that healthy/injured survivors can see the slugged aura but what is the point of the other way around? If you are playing solo, you can't share information anyway so what is the point of being able to see auras? Besides crawling towards them.
Some of the possible scenarios I can think of because of this:
1). Knock Out: When facing solo queue survivors, it reduces the effectiveness of Knock Out since instead of forcing survivors to look for the slug, he can just crawl towards them.
2). 2 or 3 players SWF: When facing 2-3 players SWF, they can communicate a lot of information to each other whenever they are downed. Like if their random teammates are doing gens, cleasing totems, etc. If they are left slugged for a few seconds, they can safely guide their friend during an approach for a heal. They can see if someone is being chased before that person is hit. In a 2 player SWF, they can just say stuff like "do gens, random guy is coming to pick me up already" instead of forcing their buddy to waste time by moving towards him.
3). Trolling: Multiple times I've played against a killer that had a friend playing survivor, he would slug that person and use this unlimited range aura mechanic to pin-point the location of the rest of the team so that killer could catch us without having to kill his buddy. Of course this situation is also possible with Bond but just to add it to the list and not everyone has all survivors leveled up.
Needless to say the amount of unbalance it brings to a 4 men squad with coms.
Just food for thought, not suggesting a nerf or rework to this mechanic. My intention is to see more opinions about this, since my view can be limited and people might use it for other scenarios or whatever.
