Have a programming contest.
Just a little thought I had.
What if you had a programming contest for Dead by Daylight: Programmers passionate about the game get to write a simple (or complex) in-game feature and whichever is the most popular gets implemented permanently.
This could save BHVR time and money to work on chapters, bug fixes, and updates.
You could get alot of volunteers! 
Fun Fact: Dead by Daylight was implemented using C#/C++ in combination with multiple scripting languages (LUA, AS3, etc.).
