I think you are making the right choice. Tbh these archives and so on are just kinda grindy and boring, and don't actually give you all that much in terms of a reward. I don't care about literally any of the minor cosmetics in the rift either.
The only thing I actually enjoyed this year was that double blood points period, which actually let me make some progress for a change. I think if you just did those maybe a little more often; that would be more than enough.
Your progression system involves unlocking the same things over and over again, but you keep adding new things making it take longer and longer to get what you are looking for, while the bloodpoint earnings seem to stay about the same. So those double blood point events go a LONG way; so seeing more of things like that instead of things like the Archives, are probably the ideal way to go.
I also think the servers, matchmaking/ranking, balance, disconnecting issues, and so on that you are working on, are all much bigger issues and anything that keeps those at the forefront of development is also good.

The audio tracks are cool, but not at the cost of development time that could be better used on the major issues.
