Still waiting for any update from them on this. Or at least confirmation that they will not add this in the future so I can move on.

However because DBD uses online profiles, when your profile loads in and certain criteria are met then some trophies will auto-unlock, but sometimes you have to "refresh" the system to get a trophy. Like say you have a P1 character, but the trophy for getting a P1 doesn't unlock? Level up that character one time and it should unlock then because you just told the trophy system that it's actually supposed to be unlocked.
For trophies to be unlocked you have to trigger the appropriate event to unlock it. Some while some trophies will unlock fairly quickly (100 kills, kill 1 more and it's see that it's unlocked for example) unfortunately some trophies you will have to recreate the event to unlock it (Blink 3 times and grab a survivor because that's a 1 time event)
If only this were the case. They didn’t put any effort into the ps5 version. You need to do another 500 sacrifices instead of just 1 to get it to pop. I just want some sort of response to this. Many of my good friends have just given up on the game at this point. I just want them to show console complaints some love

Console DBD is a cash grab for BHVR and now we exist just making PC player's queues shorter.

This right here. They don’t even acknowledge issues from console players. It makes me quite sad :(

Yeah, it basically disincentivizes player choice and upgrading if you’ve already played on another system. Many other games have figured out how to make stats/trophies cross platform.

I'm not sure if they even can? It's treated as a separated game, that's probably why each version has own trophies.

Why is this not an account unlock? Every other similar game to this handles it this way and they track everything. It seems like it’d be possible to implement.

I don’t know why they still haven’t addressed this. Will they be addressing it when they update trophies for the stranger things chapter?

Is there any way someone official could actually comment on this one way or the other? I don’t want to waste time going for all of this AGAIN if they’re going to add trophy syncing functionality in the future.
I know not everyone can relate, but I have pretty severe OCD when it comes to completion and can’t leave something unfinished. If this will definitively not be changed, then I will work towards these trophies again, but I would be upset if I spent 100s of hour intentionally aiming for them and then they end up auto-popping in the future. Clarity on this issue would be really helpful! Thanks in advance :)

Lmao I do love when other people claim that. The PS5 version is obviously not a “brand new game”. It’s identical and you can cross play with the PS4.
Its just a shame because it’s such an easy fix and the current setup deincentivises upgrading to the PS5 version. Obviously, the trophies for this game take dedication and a lot of them require you to specifically focus on the trophy. I doubt there are many people that would want to do the entire list again.
Hopefully they make it so that you can just perform one action to unlock the trophy if you’ve already met the requirements on the PS4. I just assumed all stats were saved server side for the game.
Maybe we’ll get an official response 🙏
