  • Bro My idea is perfectly clear, and I've explained every detail of the phase I created. If you don't understand anything in the text, ask me and I'll answer you.

  • I didn't know the company would adopt that, but I want to share my idea in detail, and I advise you to read the whole thing to understand what I mean.

  • Proposal: Add a Ranked 1v1 Mode to Dead by Daylight

    Overview

I would like to propose adding a new official game mode called Ranked 1v1, designed for players who want to test their true chase skills without relying on overpowered perks, add-ons, or Killers whose strength mainly comes from their special abilities.

The goal of this mode is to make every match a true test of individual skill, focusing on:

    - Mind games.

    - Looping.

    - Decision-making.

    - Chase mechanics for both Survivors and Killers.

    Match Format

    - Players queue for the Ranked 1v1 mode.

    - Matchmaking is based on each player's MMR or Rank.

    - Players choose the map they want to compete on from a pool of carefully selected competitive maps designed to provide a balanced 50/50 experience, where neither the Killer nor the Survivor has a significant advantage.

    - Each map has its own individual rank, allowing players to specialize and compete on the maps they enjoy the most.

    - One player is randomly selected to start as the Survivor, while the other starts as the Killer.

    - Before each round begins, the game randomly selects one of several pre-designed competitive spawn locations that have been carefully tested by the developers. These spawn points are placed in balanced areas of the map, such as around the Killer Shack, Main Building, or Jungle Gyms, ensuring that neither player receives an unfair advantage and preventing players from choosing their own starting positions.

    - The first player plays three rounds as the Survivor. After each round, their survival time is recorded. Once all three rounds are completed, the results are combined to calculate their total survival time.

    - The players then switch roles, and the second player also plays three rounds as the Survivor under the exact same conditions. Their survival time is recorded after each round, and the three results are combined to determine their total survival time.

    - At the end of the match, both total survival times are compared. The player with the highest total survival time wins the match, earns Ranked Points, and increases their Rank, while the losing player loses Ranked Points accordingly.

    Competitive Rules

    1. Only M1 Killers are available. Killers whose gameplay mainly relies on M2 attacks or special power hits are excluded from this mode.

    2. Both players may equip only two perks instead of four.

    3. Items and add-ons are disabled for both Survivors and Killers.

    4. Only maps specifically selected or designed for competitive balance are available.

    5. The mode uses a dedicated competitive perk pool selected by the developers, excluding perks that have an excessive impact on chase balance. This list can be updated whenever game balance changes.

    6. To ensure fair competition, matchmaking should also consider connection quality. Players outside Europe should not be forced to compete on European servers with 70โ€“80 ms (or higher) latency against players with 20โ€“30 ms latency, as this creates an unfair advantage in a mode where victory should reflect player skill. Whenever possible, matchmaking should prioritize servers that provide a fair and balanced connection for both players.

Why This Mode Would Benefit Dead by Daylight

    - It would introduce the first official Ranked 1v1 experience in Dead by Daylight.

    - It would reward individual skill rather than powerful builds.

    - It would provide a fair and competitive environment suitable for both serious players and tournaments.

    - It would give players a new long-term progression system to master.

    - It would introduce a completely new competitive experience while preserving the core 4v1 mode that defines Dead by Daylight.

    - It would create a dedicated space for players who enjoy mastering chases and improving their mechanical skill without affecting the balance of the main game mode.

Thank you for taking the time to read this proposal. I genuinely believe that an official Ranked 1v1 mode could become one of the most exciting competitive additions to Dead by Daylight while preserving the identity and balance of the core 4v1 experience.
