I had to force myself to stop being a stealth survivor. I used to always run Urban Evasion and play stealthy. And then I realized that I'm never going to be able to get good at running the killer if I continue to play stealthy. It was definitely a struggle at first, and I'm still not a great survivor player, but I get so many more bloodpoints than I did before. I can consistently get 4 stacks of WGLF each game, and I definitely feel confident looping the killer at certain structures now.
It's annoying and boring to play with and against Iron Will, Urban Evading Blendettes. I've noticed high rank players don't even make an attempt to be stealthy and thats why Ruin is seen as necessary on some killers. You will get gen rushed right in front of your face when nobody attempts to hide. One issue I hate as survivor is when an immersed person saved you from hook, they hide when the killer comes back and i'm left there loud as ######### because im injured so I just get back into the chase. The healthy person who saved you should take the aggro from the killer instead of just leaving you to get hooked again.
I actually do run Whispers on every killer lol. I hate playing without it. And yes, mori EVERY Blendette. Not every Claudette, though. Throw any shirt on Claudette that isn't blendy, and you're good to go in my book.
It's not a killer's job to make the match more survivable for the survivors, and it's not a survivor's job to be more visible or interactive for the killer or other survivors so they feel good about their teammates in whatever arbitrary laundry list of standards they expect them to operate within.

Same. And when I survive I get flak from someone running nothing but second-chance perks who ended up dead anyway.
Funny how it's always clowns like this that flame the most. I've lost count of the number of games I run with all 3 other survivors running Dead Hard, Unbreakable, Decisive Strike and Sprint Burst/Borrowed Time going for the sketchiest saves in our solar system only to have all of them get dropped around the same hook. In what universe does that ######### actually work?

Playing stealthily can be fun, but what I see people forget, and what I learned the hard way in a lot of games was that the key to pipping isn't avoiding getting found so much as capitalizing on wasting the killer's time. Hiding from a killer CAN be effective, but it's truly a gamble in many situations, and so many survivors neglect to consider what perks a killer may have nor do they account for straight up blind luck. Experienced killers are more likely to check niche hiding spots or clear all the way around obstacles when sweeping.
As intoxicating and tempting it can be to try and hide around a gen you were working that a killer came to, making the decision to hide or run favors running more often than not. If you run, the killer is gonna need to catch up to you, if you manage to pallet stun or vault a window, you're only wasting more of their time before they get that first hit off. You'll get your sprint burst and even if you get downed immediately, you still wasted a good 20-30 seconds of the killer's time if they hook you. If you hide and are found, you'll get hit immediately and waste significantly less of the killer's time before you're downed. I literally have lost count of the number of situations I could have escaped had I had 10 more seconds.

It takes zero skill to run spine chill and urban (perks you say you run ) and hide from the killer all game while everyone else has to carry you to victory , the people who are running the killer are giving you a chance to have that playstyle in the first place by occupying more of the killers time while gens are done otherwise everyone would be crouching the whole game and nothing would get done, you want to know why they shouldn't rank up? Get 4 people on the same team who try to be stealthy and avoid the killer. I'll bet more than 2 gens won't get done if someone isn't keeping the killer focused.
Always gonna be salty people who pride themselves on skill over all else, in an online game you'll have nothing to show for when the game is dead. No matter how you look at, it's entertainment meant to kill time. If you're that hung on skill and whining about people not playing the game through whatever narrow logical window you've created, then I'd say the bigger issue is you, and not others. But hey, keep living the dream.

You made an account just to necro this thread and I hate everything about it.
Boo hoo, gotta create an account at sometime, sorry your delicate feathers got ruffled. I'll mail you some FunYuns. ;)

To the OP; Immersed players are given a bad rap, as you can see, because some of them are SO immersed they don't actually do anything. Usually this fear wears off as you play more and more matches, but a lot of kiddies get boosted by their high ranked friends or wind up in the red ranks through luck. No one likes an unhelpful teammate.
But
And it's a big BUT
"Helpful" "Unhelpful" "Stealthy" "Immersed" "Right" and "Wrong" all hold subjective meaning. If you're playing an online game and concern yourself in any way shape or form with what random people think of what you're doing, you probably shouldn't play. I had this argument about "Blendette with Urban" which I play, last night with another survivor AND the killer. I had the most bloodpoints of anyone on my team, but that didn't matter, and they found any number of reasons to refute that point. What it all boils down to is this; It's not a killer's job to make the game more survivable for a survivor, and it's not a survivor's job to be more visible or make the game more interactive for the killer. Zero f**** given. If I want to hide and leave you to die on the hook, I'm gonna, and there will be much laughter. If I play killer and wanna sit and farm you, I'm gonna, and there will be tears from that survivor, and much laughter from me. Rank, pipping, all of that means f*** all in this game. It's not even accurate bragging rights as we can all see. So play how you want, and forget anyone who has something to say. You can't make everyone happy, so focus on you and your enjoyment and screw the rest. :)
