I have this same issue. After attempting this challenge for a week I was finally fortunate enough to get a farming Killer who followed me around to test this last night. While a Survivor was being carried and the Killer was right on top of me I used a toolbox to sabotage 3 hooks. I then used the Saboteur perk to sabotage 3 hooks just to make sure. Before each attempt the Survivor wiggled free to make sure that it didn't require a new pick up each time.
It still did not get any progress at all.

This is my LAST comment of yours I’ll read and reply to….Your Justifications for a offense able to be banned is hypocritical. One is allowed one is not.
‘Players like you ruin the game
Same.

I'm not a fan of it myself but how does it go against the "nature of the game"?
Hide, seek, chase. Camping and tunneling the hook forgoes the entire purpose of the game. Breaks the immersion of a survival horror. Arcadey bollocks.

Get better a looping. Then you can brag about how some dumb killer tracked you all game.
Now you're trying to make this into personal attack. My looping is just fine. In fact, you highlight a common problem: looping the Killer for 4 gens and then they face camp because their ego is bruised. That's a win for me despite not being able to pip from it. These situations do not result in a DC and I doubt they do for other Survivors as well.
DCing is about making a statement early before the game has lots of points distributed. Late game camping is neither here nor there.

Entitled- the key word/thought you don’t deserve
Say what you will but I won't budge on the matter. Hitting the Killer where it hurts (pips) is justifiable as opposed to being held hostage in a game where you would have depipped anyway due to the Killer's behaviour. Not rewarding the Killer for said behaviour = just don't play. Generate no further points for them.

Just because BHVR doesn't address it doesn't mean it isn't a problem. There is a reason why there has been a massive Survivor exodus since the perk rework. It's because camping and tunneling was no longer punishable via in game mechanics (DS) as well as certain perks getting a lot of benefit out of camping and reusing the hook (Resonance).

Camping and tunneling isn’t toxic. There a (weak/boring) strategy. That’s all
No. It isn't a strategy. It's just being lazy and goes against the nature of the game.

DCing isn’t justified no matter what you want to tell yourself
I disagree. So long as BHVR refuses to address this toxic behaviour it is left to the Survivors to protest/make a statement any way they can. If you're going to camp and tunnel don't expect to get a pip.
-
Yep. The game balance right now is atrocious.
-
One use per totem unless there is another perk would feel really, really bad. The boons would be borderline useless (like most Survivor perks...) Would rather see the opposite where Killers can relight their Hexes.
-
The Survivor ques are lightning quick because a huge chunk of the survivor player base has left since the rework patch. The camping and tunneling is the worst it has ever been as well as being the most rewarding it has ever been for a Killer to camp and tunnel. New Killer is all about camping too. I don't know what BHVR is trying to do with this game but it certainly isn't anything healthy.

Bring back Iron Will to 100% but make it not work while exhausted and bring back Decisive Strike. Make Decisive Strike work after every hook.
-
He was fun to go against until BHVR broke his hitbox and now he's a damn vacuum.
-
I think the solution is a bit simpler than that. Hurt campers and tunnelers where it matters: their points.
Ticking negative score the longer you stay near a hook with extremely punishing negative scoring events for hits near the hook when the gens are still up.
-
I'd like this change if for no other reason than to discourage camping. Right now it is very rewarding to camp your Scourge Hook (particularly Resonance).
-
Never seen someone DC because of a specific Killer. It is almost always a result of being camped or tunneled.
Being able to prepare against the Killer ahead of time would somewhat cheapen the experience in my opinion.

This is, perhaps, my most hated feature of DBD currently. Starting to hurt my hands just like the old wiggling and hook struggling did. Was less noticeable when we could only go to prestige 3 because I never bothered putting points into anyone after doing so.
Please just auto level me up and give me a loot box of random items or something. I really don't care about anything in the web. At all. Just want to prestige/get rid of the points.

Camping and tunneling is the worst (and most rewarding) it has ever been. Killers don't need even more leniency near the hook. They need punishments.
Leave the hook and play the game and you won't have this problem.
-
When are we going to see more negative scoring events for actions taking place near the hook or to recently unhooked survivors? With DS being a useless perk now and pain res/dms/pop still so strong almost every game is a camp and tunnel fest. Why leave the hook when you can get gen regression from camping, unless you're a Killer who can pop and be back to hook in a few seconds?
This is why after 3000 hours I cannot bring myself to play anymore. Your actions and skill are pointless when first hook = last hook, or every game is turned into a 3v1 that lasts 40 minutes because the Killer wasn't actually good enough to play the right way but was able to balance the match out by camping and tunneling at 5 gens. Whether you pip or not is entirely out of your hands. What's the fun in that? Where's the balance in that?
I'd say a ticking negative score, and notification (Entity shames you), harsh negative scoring events (with notifications) when committing actions on a recently unhooked survivor (outside of endgame), and overall harsher penalties to scoring when around a hooked survivor, AND a dedicated part of the tutorial that explains why camping and tunneling is frowned upon, would be in the best interest of the game. It is the most serious problem afflicts DBD and it is the only thing that turns away new players. Over my years I've tried many a time to inject life into this game. New blood. None of them stay. Why? Camping and tunneling is too prevalent, too rewarding. Pipping is outside of your control; your score is outside of your control.
Every. Single. One.

Can confirm Buried Underground (Tome 1 Level 3) is no longer working.
