  • Because part of DBD is having some mystery, and purposely not having everything "known".

Obviously things like SWF negate that / that's what perks are for, but I think if they start going in the direction of naturally showing more and more auras then the game will lose some of its magic.

I haven't had many games since the update since I was on vacation and a little burned out anyway, but my experience is pretty much if all survivors stay in the game I usually escape.

If one DCs or suicides early, we lose (or maybe I get lucky and get hatch). If survivors actually had some thick skin and competitive fire, this might not be so bad.

That said, some of the slow down builds have been very boring and tough to deal with.

This is exactly what I think.

More games that necessary are ended early cause people aren't happy everything is handed to them on a plate. Probably one of the big things skewing everyone's opinion on the update

  • I think the main problem is that every game now consists of 1 survivor DCing/suiciding after being looked at funny, and another 2 crouching behind corners for most of the game.

I feel like the patch still hasn't settled in for many yet, you have to adapt at least a little. Try different play styles and perk builds.

Actually attempt to do gens instead of staying stuck in the usual altruistic death cycle.

Even playing as killer, a lot of the wins seem to be an issue of survivors being clueless more than the changes the patch brought, there's been a huge shift in the quality of players which I think skews how the patch should truly be perceived.

I think it was just bad team or unironically bad luck. I doubt it has anything to do with your equipped skins.

Obviously didn't read the post, he quoted a msg he got from another player

You can't expect people not to play properly just because there's an event on. Survivors and killers are still gonna be playing the game, the event doesn't fundamentally change their goal or give them different gameplay options.

Exactly this, not everyone's going to play by your rules just cause there's some offerings in the game. People want to play the way they want to play, regardless if there's mounds of BP to be gained, they might not need them for example.

  • Breakout - Saboteur - Mettle of Man - CoH.

Love this build and play it 90% of the time!

You can take 2 hits under hook for a sabo and a save, you usually go down but you gain stacks for MoM, next time you do it you won't go down and you can get another save for free!

You can also bring styptic agent almost guarantee 3 stacks of MoM on the first hook sabo... Lots of possibilities!

  • Genrushing is more a problem from a survivors point of view I think.

I consider "gen rushing" a thing if for example you're on the hook and teammates refuse to unhook and let you reach next stage in favour of completing gens.

Obviously near end game it may make more sense, but this can often happen at 5 gens.
