  • I feel like people value mechanical complexity too much here. Similar to BHV and their graphs, the kill rate vs pick rates don't accurately show a killer's strength very well. Nurse is probably the best killer in the game, yet the sheer mechanical skill required to play her would have you believe shes a below average killer if you take the graphs at face value. Oni takes a fair bit more mechanical "skill" to play than Wraith, but I'd argue Wraith is far more difficult to play effectively, as similar to what OP stated, his base kit is embarrassingly lacking when compared to Oni. You have to compensate a lot in strategy, add-ones, perks and luck. Now, I'd argue comparing Wraith to Spirit would be better, due to the similar playstyles, and very simple mechanics to actually learn. However that said, Spirit still has far more depth to her power, more strategy to expand on, and thats reflected in how powerful she is.

  • I feel people are really missing the point here. He's complaining that even tho he got the "3k", because one of those was a DC, he loses a Pip when normally he would have just gone neutral, and survivors DCing like this is very common in the higher ranks, to the point it can really piss killers off. Way to make a mountain of a molehill, jeez.

  • I honestly really like Surveillance and new Ruin to mess with survivors these days. Ruins regression triggers Surveillance aura highlight, and for whatever reason that sticks around even if gen progress hits 0, unlike kicking gens. Its kinda hilarious how good it can be on a killer with decent mobility, as it takes guesswork out of the equation near completely.

  • I feel like people forget that unlike the OG DS, currently all 4 survivors can run DS for a minute of god mode. When a Gen takes about 2 mins, thats almost 2 entire Gens worth of time you have to tiptoe around making sure that you dont go for the unhooked survivor. And the worst thing? If you wait the full minute, the survivor has access to it again. In a game like DBD, where you usually want to get the 1st kill as fast as possible, DS is pretty much better than Borrowed Time for the sheer amount of stalling potential, and work the killer has to put in to avoid the near guaranteed escape if you get hit by DS. Ya no, DS is almost better than it was at release.
