Just imagine walking up on a gen as wraith and the second the one sweat in the match sees the whisps of the invisibility, its "LEAVE YOU ######### MORON" followed by a multitude of slurs tossed at both the other survivors and the killer. Followed by the chase being a minutes worth of trash talk, plus t-bagging, plus more potential slurs...just no. No thank you. I will kindly ignore them in EGC but not during the game itself.

I'm just adding to the fire here I guess but uh...I'd prefer for both the sanity of the survivors as well as my own, please don't add voice coms as a permanent function. Racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, you name it the second those lunatics have it they will abuse the hell out of it. I would also prefer not every single game I play be populated by essentially an SWF. lack of communication is a legit form of balance in the killers favor, and it makes the experience enjoyabe, ESPECIALLY for stealth killers. Pls no

>> Why would I go after the person who just unhooked? 3 hits to down again versus 2 hits to down is simple math.
Yes, that is the point. This will incentivize tunneling.
Basekit BT only provides endurance for 7 seconds or so, so the killer can simply wait that out and then immediately re-down the survivor. DH used to be an option to protect the unhooked survivor if the killer waits out BT, but now it's dependent on whether that survivor had a prior unhook to activate the perk.
Given that DH now can't be reliably used off-hook and gen regression perks are getting gutted, a lot of killers are going to tunnel even more because A) no active DH makes it even easier than before, B) its going to take longer to get an unhooked survivor healed, leaving them vulnerable for longer, and C) making the game a 3v1 will be an efficient way to offset the loss of gen regression perks.
To be fair the *tunneling* your talking about is quite literally the objective of the killer. Look I understand every survivor has had to deal with their fair share of a face camping buba I'm not saying you haven't. And I agree is annoying to play against. HOWEVER...I think that the majority of complaining about tunneling comes from killers defending hooks within an area, and then they just get called campers. If you are the weakest link on the team, I'm sorry but in gonna put you in hook to lure out your buddies till they make a mistake and I can apply pressure to them and the gens near by.
If the killer defends gens properly or defends hooks, they are playing the game AS INTENDED. It's the same argument i would make for survivors using obnoxious perk combinations to bully a killer or someone using a gen rush build. It's is all AS INTENDED. this is what the game has evolved into, and it's been headed here for a long time.
I understand the frustration with tunneling to a degree, but yall really need to cut us some slack. We are just playing the game and trying to have a good time, just as much as you all are playing the game and trying to have a good time as well.
When something like 3 gen skull merchant comes along and breaks the game? That deserves to be fixed. Dead Hard being changed to change the meta and shake up the perks brought? I guess we will have to wait and see. We don't even know how this will perform in the ptb, and everyone is losing their minds. Killers took nerfs, survivors took nerfs. Let's just play the damn game.

Yeah it is, the irony is not lost on me so I came here to cry to try and balance the crying, this forum is very killer biased. I play soloq so killers crying is a joke any decent killer can get a 2k+ vs soloq (the majority of dbd matches). What happens is bad killers cant beat soloq then cry, decent killers get 4ks constantly vs soloq, mmr rises they get swfs all the time, lose, cry.
They already nerfed COH several times as well. With basekit healing being 24 seconds you're going to get a lot of DCs especially with sloppy butcher, only the tryhard survivors will remain eventually and guess what killer cry lol.
PS If you still don't believe me that this forum is killer biased count the number of negative or contrarian responses I get to people agreeing or even somewhat receptive to me. Your reply and others from my OP was all killer biased replies.
"If you disagree with me you are killer biased and a cry baby!" Way to burry the lead lmao. You are dripping with entitlement. Your fun is the only one that matters. Whatever dude, a lot of people all over this forum including killer mains have made arguments as to why all of the changes are rough for everyone, including myself. You are the face of this community and the stereotypical entitled gamer that has come to be known from it.
-
Also, you have basekit borrowed time. So both people unhooking get to run away with free hits AND the person hooked also gets dead hard. Why would I go after the person who just unhooked? 3 hits to down again versus 2 hits to down is simple math. Survivors AGAIN got more ways to prevent tunneling and keeping killers from actually getting kills and you are still complaining about it IN THE MIDDLE of every major killer perk currently being used in the meta to slow down the gen rush meta WHICH IS STILL A PROBLEM.
This patch is going to be survivors finally being forced to deal with more dangerous chases off of hook and you guys have some protections for getting off hook and getting away so you can stop blaming every single killer for being a camper because of that face camping bubba you ran into one time.
We have a reason to commit to chase now, but it isn't enough to over shadow the need to defend gens from gen rush, and we just lost some of our most important tools to do that.

Oh honey that's a complete new sentence, nobody here is talking about that. Make your own forum thread about it. This is about Dead Hard
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3379764#Comment_3379764
Unlike most of the others, Dead Hard is a chase perk and tunnelling affects the WHOLE team, not just the victim
Idk how you don't see a link between the 2 subjects. The game has been pushed in the direction of gens. The game isn't about chase anymore. Everything that has to do with chase is punishing for killer, and now that dead hard has been changed to a hook perk it gives killers a chance to finally be able to get people on the hook without having to deal with having to hit someone almost 5 times with perk set ups just to get one down. And you people wonder why we have to run gen slow down. There is no point in committing to a chase with you. If we do we get called tunnelers, if we don't commit and run back to defend gens, we are either unskilled or campers. What do you people want from us? Honestly? Killer mains are trying to win the game too, but every single game I play 3 gens are done within the first few minutes of the game. I get my 1 to 2 hooks, maybe more if I'm doing good, and I defend the areas since everyone wants to meme on the killer to try and i try to catch people out and maybe get some more hooks. If I leave to go kick a gen, I loose the hook, the survivor is ISNTANTLY healed to full, and i loose a bunch of time on MORE gens. What do you want me to do? Just sit there and shake my head up and down so you guys can have a free win?
Dead hard has needed a nerf for the LONGEST time because everyone uses it and it makes some chases impossible, especially for some newer people. Yall still have sprint burst and the stupid combo where you can string like 3 of them together at once. Keep bringing your stupid broken gen rush and loop builds and I'll bring my nerfed gen slow down build to try and stand a chance I guess.
-

If a survivor can get value from DH several times in a match you're just a bad killer. All the killer crybabies in this forum killing the game. DH was popular because it was fun, had more interaction/skill than sprint burst, lithe etc.
So since it's fun it must be nerfed AGAIN. They just nerfed many other meta survivor perks and buffed all of killer basekit. Killers have just became lazy crybabies since the meta shakeup. And healing now no thanks, time to switch games RIP DBD.
So your just going to ignore the fact that every major perk that killers have been using while you all gen rush has been nerfed with nothing being done on the survivors side to slow down gen rush? We just gonna ignore that? Or am I just being a cry baby...
-
I mean survivors can make you have to hit them like what...5 times? I think dead hard is just a symptom of an annoyance a lot of us killer mains have to face in the higher mmr. We start getting bully squads that abuse mechanics to make it impossible to put someone in the dying state and it's very annoying to go against. It's just what the meta is right now, so killers shifted to gen slowdown since survivors can have all of that nonsense and STILL be able to gen rush.
At this point the meta is a 2 way street. Arguing whose fault it was first is just arguing about the chicken and the egg. The game is more about gen slow down and stalling for killers then ever before and waiting for survivors to make mistakes so we can take them out of the game.
People will moan and complain about defending a hook to try and secure a kill when the survivirs have an amazing amount of resources in a match AND have perks that can make it almost impossible to keep someone on hook to get them out of the game. And I'm not talking about your local face camping bubba troll. I'm talking about hooking a sruvivor and patrolling the area when you know others are going to try and unhook.
3 survivors work on gens a lot slower then 4, and since behavior doesn't want me to defend my hooks to make sure I don't have to hit a survivors 5 TIMES TO HOOK SOMEONE AGAIN, then I'm gonna try and push people away from a 3 gen so I can defend it properly and win the game.
This isn't a case of being malicious or being a troll. This is literally what I have to do to win. If your mad about that, don't blame me, blame the developers for making the game more about gens for both sides. I need bloodpoints to level up and prestige, and so do you. The best we can hope for is that we both find a way to have fun with the new style of play.
-
if your willing to pay a pretty penny there are some key selling sites you can find that still have the DLC available, but its a risk and it is going to be ESPENSIVE
-
ALSO I would like to point out that most horror movies that revolve around the rich getting to just do what they want and hurt people are regularly regarded as some of the most uncomfortable and disturbing versions of horror to watch. Id also say its perfectly fine for you to like a horror movie character that for whatever reason is just an absolute monster for the sake of being one. Rich people being evil just feels worse, and more cruel, and more disturbing.
-
I just really want a practice mode to be added more than anything so I can experiment with perks against bots. As much as I appreciate tips form streamers and you-tubers, all it ends up making me do is working towards whatever build they have and I never learn the killer from the ground up. I have few good games because I focus on the specifics of the build, then I run into something that the build isn't prepared for and I get frustrated and want to move on.
I think its better to have a place for some suggestion and tips and tricks for how to GENERALLY build and play, but just copying builds to me feels like net decking a competitive magic deck. Sure the deck can win, but it doesn't make you a better magic player.

Most of this makes sense except for one thing.
it doesn't really address the efforts of the devs to balance the game so far.
Or on another topic, the map design being heavily survivor sided by their size and composition (plenty of pallets and gens blatantly adjacents to safe windows) and so forth.
I feel for killer right now way more than survivors. when survivors shows up and complain about something (eruption, Hex: ruin, pop the weasel... Hillbilly? Pig? ) the devs take the perks/ killer's basekit out and put them down like a dog.
but if they dare nerf let's say, Dead hard, we have a good time for a few moments at best before it comes back with a minor asterisk that does not affect the outcomes... effectively we back to square 1.
honestly, I am sick of how unbalanced this has been in the past and no one acknowledging that in the slightiest.
One sides fun is derived from the other, sadly. And while I generally do agree that survivors individually seem to be REALLY powerful right now, I think what makes it feel extremely unfair for us killer mains is that there are 4 of them that all feel that way to go against. It is kind of by design that the survivors are going to feel really overpowered in a lot of ways to go against since like I said, there are 4 of them, and only one of us.
I'm a fairly new killer main so I get the frustration. I absolutely despise the new map. I despise getting gen rushed and I despise the toxicity that I receive just for playing the role that I chose to queue up as.
But right now I think that the developers are trying to push the game into an objective focused game harder than ever before. The focus has shifted to either rushing the gens or stalling them out. As killers we have gotten some pretty decent stuff in terms of gen slow down and being able to defend a 3 gen for end game. Call of Brine and Eruption are *Chefs kiss* REAL NICE when you need to keep control over 3 gens. The game is just less and less focused on chase and it shows.
The developers keep giving survivors ways to rush gens and stay alive, so in return we get ways to slow down gens. As much as it sucks to admit, Skull Merchant really hit that final nail into the coffin for this game being about gen rush/slow down. So we either adhere to the meta at high MMR, or we hope for the game of knuckle head survivors that allows us to relax a bit. Either way, its all in the slow growth of game with a meta.
The game IS unbalanced, and both sides sway way up and way down constantly. That month of fun that you are feeling was living through a stage of overcorrection in which everyone had to find new ways to be able to optimally sweat the game. It was a time of experimentation, and because we aren't the ones needing to experiment it was a lot easier for us to have fun. But now that it is on the sway back to the other side, our job has gotten hard again. its the ebb and flow of trying to balance an asymmetrical game. Both sides CANT be equal by necessity because then that would demolish the core reason the game is fun.
Killers are supposed to feel empowering to play, but when the game doesn't go our way or the survivors have too many resources, we feel like we've been cheated from feeling that power trip. Survivors are supposed to feel like they have to face great adversity to win, and if the killers have too many resources then it feels incredibly oppressive to play against.
I think the final thing Ill say is that this game just seems like its really hard to balance and makes sure both sides are having fun at the same time. And its probably going to continue to sway back and forth because if you nerf/buff one side then the other side gets nerfed/buffed just for being on the opposite side of the swaying pendulum.
-
People are really going to hate me for saying it but at this point in the games meta, the game is no longer about the chase. It is about finding and defending gens efficiently and waiting for survivors to make a mistake. I would recommend finding a way to work call of brine and eruption into your builds, and maybe consider warden or no way out. At this point in the games life, getting gen rushed is just going to happen, so you have to evolve your builds to adapt. Your going to get hate mail for it. Your going to get entitled survivors that are offended by the mere fact of you trying to win a game, but ultimately if you want kills, your going to have to commit to chase, and committing to chase will lose you the game in a lot of ways if you cant end that chase IMMEDIETLY.
Now for my real suggestion, a 2k may not be a "win" But right now its the best most of us are gonna get, so try to take some pride in whatever you get and don't the t-bagging get to you <3
-
The Skull Merchant ultimately comes across as a commentary on the ultra rich being able to do whatever they want to both defend their wealth as well as get away with almost anything because of their extreme status in society. I think there is definitely an interesting discussion to be had on how having enough money means you can essentially get away with murder in the right circumstances, but it doesn't really make for an interesting killer for Dead by Daylight in my opinion.
In a game filled with literal movie monsters and creatures created out of interesting moral dilemmas and sad backstories that can be empathized with or related too, having someone SO VASTLY outside of the moral framework due to their wealth and just abusing it to kill people just really isn't interesting.
The nurse was born from the madness of loss and being abused and over worked, the spirit was created by pure vengeance from being killed by her father, the dredge is an elder god that was worshiped by a cult leader who led people astray, the clown is a really on the nose interpretation of several serial killers combined.
Not all of the killers have backstories that are relatable or understandable, but at least the ones that are just evil for the sake of being evil are based in something that we can call kind of understand. A woman abusing her power and wealth to kill people to continue to be powerful and wealthy while pretending to be the manga character her father created but evil just isn't really that interesting amongst the amazing characters we've already had the pleasure of reading about.
I'm sure she was a passion project that someone spent a very long time to write and design. I just personally don't like her.
-
@Yoshirama said:
I'm not gonna lie, all my matches againts her is the same, place drones in the 3 gens, refuse to chase and once you deactivate the drone she just come back and immediately put it in the same place.
The only way to finish this is give up or wait a whole hour to servers to shut down. I don't know who thinks this game design was a good idea, but having game hostage is just unhealthy for this game
I agree that the game getting held hostage is bad for the games health. And thankfully the skull merchant is getting an update to make her ability a bit more fair and be able to peel her ability off of that 3 gen.
The problem however is that I think this is what the game has kind of been working up to. The META on both sides has really been pushing for generators to be the primary focus, and I think accusing one side or the other as being the primary problem for this is kind of like arguing about the chicken or the egg.
I think that everyone has an expectation that this game is PRIMARILY supposed to be about the chase. A lot of killer perks are for chase, and a lot of survivor perks are for chase, and it seems like most people tend to have the most fun when people are being chased. But the game has moved away from that gameplay and the recent releases and perks on BOTH sides show it.
The game has always been about survivors needing to get gens done as fast as possible to get out alive, and the killers goal has always been to stop the survivors and slow the game down to try and make the survivors loose as many resources as possible.
And this is further reinforced by the fact that there are huge spikes of unbalance on both sides whenever new perks or characters are introduced into the game. Id like you all to remember that before this is was all about gens getting rushed within the first 3 min of the game. And now the problem has been over corrected to the other side.
The developers have been slowly pushing this game to be more objective based for a very long time and I think that realization is just finally dawning for a lot of people.
Personally I really enjoy the longer games because I enjoy the challenge, and anecdotally the 3 gen games that I've managed to win were really close. But obviously not everyone is going to feel the same way since fun is subjective to the person having or not having it. I just hope that the developers can find a way to balance this type of gameplay and make it fun, and I hope that the community embraces the shifting focus.
-
I think it could be possible, but you would have to make a special game mode or make it locked specifically to an event. Having only 4 survivors going up against anything other than 1 killer would tip the scale so heavily in the killers favor that it would break the game in its current state. If you created a map that was HUGE and increased the number of survivors to 6 or even 8, then MAYBE I could see you getting away with 2 killers being in the same game.
Maybe in the future we will see silly daily or weekly game modes that are purely for fun and earning a lot of blood points and or cosmetics for both sides. Or maybe we will see the a whole new game mode entirely who knows.
I also think that you would have to build a killer from the ground up for this. There aren't really any killers in the game aside form maybe The Twins that I could see having interesting game play or interaction from a gameplay standpoint with this. The Twins being able to work simultaneously would be a lot more interesting and fun for the killer, and hopefully the survivor, but ultimately that's what needs to be prioritized, the fun. As much as it would make me laugh manically to see even just 2 legions chasing after survivors in the game, I just cant see it being fun for the survivors. But it is an interesting concept.

Mostly bad ideas, again, that demonstrate why the devs don't listen to the forums. And why I was right about it speaking volumes.
Your "simple fix" absolutely will be abused by Killers to ensure you always get solo queue Survivors, so that won't be happening. And to break down your list...
- Nope, hurts casuals SWFs and solos in the match.
- Nope, hurts casuals SWFs and solos in the match.
- Your Shattered rework sounds bad and unfair for the obsession, sorry. A doesn't include boon buffs when it should. B sounds interesting though.
- I can't math so I'm going to assume that's bad since maps that are too small are typically too easy to patrol, which shouldn't be the case.
- Or you can just kick the god pallet? This is such a miniscule complaint, god pallets don't buy much in the grand scheme of things and there isn't nearly enough to bother. And if you're going to go "BORGO", still not enough god pallets. RPD has noticeably more, but once they're gone, those rooms become dead zones.
Consider the following: To deal with meta, you should play meta. Or do... anything to counter meta. I have no idea why this community is so entitled that they should be able to easily and consistently shut down meta stuff (whether it be perks, add-ons, etc) while not changing anything about their builds or playstyles, not even perks or add-ons.
I sense you're a "Killer main" like Spectral tbh, your opinions are waaaay too Killer biased. If DBD ever looks at listening to pros for upcoming updates, I hope they filter feedback that comes from Survivor/Killer "mains" who give takes like this.
I think that there are valid criticisms and complaints to be made about both sides of the isle right now. Complaining about one side being "NERFED" harder than the other is never going to get anywhere because you people treat killer verses survivor with the fervor of sports fans. The bottom line is this...
Killers are currently frustrated at the META for a multitude of reasons. Having to hit a survivor potentially 5 times due to multiple perks preventing potential hits is very hard to counter. Some maps are just flat out BAD for a good amount of killers and survivors don't really have a equivalent map that is really bad for them. And to sum a lot of other frustration up, its really annoying that to do well as killer, you really have to just sit down and get good at nurse, and a lot of us don't want to do that because we all have our favorites.
Survivors are currently frustrated at the META because impossible 3 Gen camps are a thing especially with skull merchant, the killers are incentivized to go after survivors with damaged health states and tunnel/camp hooks to apply pressure, and I don't if this is still a major complaint from this side of the isle but I remember hearing a lot about survivors being really upset that perks like light born and franklins demise exist, but that might not be the case anymore.
And then for the elephant in the room; THE 3 GEN STANDOFF. I think it can be said that there is a lot in this game on both sides that have resulted in us arriving at this type of meta, and sadly I think it will always come down to a chicken in the egg kind of blame circle. Survivors hate 3 gen because it slows the game down and can be really hard to win if a killer bring the right set ups and defends a good 3 gen. Killer kind of have to play 3 gen because gen rushing is such a problem for a lot of killer to counter effectively. Survivors take meta perks because killers are incentivized to tunnel and camp to apply pressure. Killers tunnel and camp to defend kills to try and squeeze whatever blood points they can out of a unwinnable match. We could go on and on and around and around in circles trying to point the blame at whoever started this but ultimately its all about the objective of the game.
Killers are going to defend hooks and use the opportunity of altruistic survivors to pull people off of generators and deplete health states and get kills to make it harder for survivors to complete gens.
Survivors are going to bring perks and items to help them achieve completing gens fast and preventing as many hooks and hits as possible to get out alive.
Where in lies the problem is the expectations of fun chases. Not everyone is going to be amazing at chase on either side. As a newer killer main I can tell you that it is really frustrating to be looped for a couple minutes straight while gens pop around me just because I really want to hit this damn flash light clicking and crouch spamming bill that has been stringing be along most of the game. but that is MY expectation of having a fun chase. A fun chase for me is outwitting the survivor and hitting them and then hooking them. Survivors I think have the same expectation of fun for chases just on the other side. They want to convince a killer to commit to them so they can show off their sick moves and escape getting hit within a fraction of a second, but its really frustrating for survivors to get hit and then be tunneled or camped because the killer needs them out of the game.
Its an argument of who is allowed to have fun with chases and if chases are the primary goal of the game. At this point I honestly think that gen pressure has just become so much more of a priority for killers AND survivors that the chase just isn't really that important anymore. And the META reflects this.
Killers are going to bring slow down perks and try to get survivors on hooks and keep them there to slow down the game. The killer needs to STALL to win.
Survivors will bring strong gen rush items and chase perks to prevent the killer from doing this so that they can RUSH the game.
We are diametrically opposed in our goals via gameplay, and the metal reflects this.
I think that's why bringing a specific fix to the game is going to take a lot more than just changing some map size or limiting perks. The developers for the game have been pushing the game in this direction for a while, and I think we all just need to adapt and try to find ways to have fun in the current state of the game. The game is just so HEAVLY based on this type of gameplay style that I don't see what you could possibly do to change the game from gens to chase without heavily gutting one side or the other.

And this is the killers fault?

I'm sorry but as a newer to the game player and a killer main, I'm probably going to tunnel a little because I want to learn how to chase better. If I run into someone who is way better than me, I'm going to try to learn from you or catch you off guard. It's like a little victory I get to enjoy for learning and doing better. Doesn't mean I don't break chase to try to defend gens when I'm close to one.
To be honest the "tunneling" complaint always just comes across as you got caught out after getting off hook and your upset that you got caught out of your dead hard/borrowed time/off the record window of opportunity to get hit. Even if the killer did wait out these perks you people would still being complaining about people trying to get certain people out of the game.
I have 2 options when I chase you:
1: Commit to the chase if I think I can get a down and risk other survivors completing gens.
2: Ignore you because you'll be mad if I chase you again.
What do you want from us? This all leads down the same road of killers getting more and more hate mail from our fans like you when we are just trying to play the damn game. if you get killed first, congrats, you now get to get into another game faster than all the rest of the survivors in the game. Tunneling isn't broken, tunneling isn't unfair, your just upset you lost.
Every single player be it on survivor side or on killer side has to deal with some form of toxicity. I'm not gonna play the whataboutism game because at this point we've all hear the reasons from both sides.
How about giving us killer mains a break. We are trying to win, earn blood points, and have fun too. If you wanna flame the face camping bubba in the basement go right ahead, but leave the rest of us out of it. I'm so tired of getting hate messages because all this community seems to breed is entitled survivors who call me slurs in end game chat or over steam because they didn't win and get to say "GG EZ SHITE KILLER" in the end game chat.
if it upsets you that deeply to lose as survivor, then play killer and enjoy the hellscape that we have to deal with from you people on a day to day basis.
-
I'm fine with there being some strong loops on each map, but those 2 window vaults are OBNOXIOUS. As someone who is new-ish to the game, I know immediately that if I get that map and someone even remotely knows how to loop, I'm never going to catch them. Every single survivor just runs to the main building area and loops the same 2 spots. Its ridiculous. Again I'm all for survivors have safe loops, but most of the best loops in the game are good because they have a god pallet, but once that resource is spent its time to move on. That WHOLE MAIN BUILDING AREA is a combination of about 3 to 4 loops that the survivors can use to reset and then just go straight back to windows if the killer is close. It's incredibly un-fun to play against, and I shouldn't HAVE TO LEARN NURSE just to be able to do well one specific randomly chosen map in rotation.
-
Didn't the survivor side just get a huge buff with new perks and a map with absolutely obnoxious window vaults against anyone not playing nurse? Do you just not want killers to ever win? I'm sure there are some killers out there who can make a 3 gen miserable to fight against, but we killer mains have been dealing with being called everything under the sun that's negative just for finding new ways to win the game. As a new player, I run in to survivors that bring perks that make me have to hit them 5 times. 5 TIMES before they can be hooked. And with the new exhaustion reset perk, you can now string 3 sprint bursts together one after another. What do you want from us, to just let you win the game?
-
As a newer killer I've gotten called a camper for being within a mile of a hook and defending blocks of the map to try and set up a defense for the late game. I hook people close to my fall back and try to play defensively since getting gen rushed is so common. I can understand getting face camped. I think I've done it maybe once and I did it to some bill that kept flashlight spamming and t-bagging me. Seems like most killers don't do it and only defend areas and bring survivors to defendable areas, some may but others don't. Aside from playing the whataboutism game, I don't know where else to go with this other than maybe cut the killers some slack? Survivors got some huge buffs with perks and the new map having some really obnoxious window vaults against anyone not playing nurse. We are trying to have fun too, we need blood points too...

I really appreciate the love and advice from the community and everyone who commented here. To be honest I worried I was just going to see a lot of "Get gud" or "Just uninstall", but everyone has been really helpful so thank you <3. Devs definetely lost it somewhere (supposedly under pressure of regular players), but I can't imagine how hard it must be now for new player to get in, with all those perks, mechanics and small features. It was very hard for me back in a days (when DbD was much much simplier), but now....
One thing is for certain: DbD now REQUIRES dedication and time investment. Like A LOT.
As for the chat, that's the thing you only can solve by yourself. Unfortunately, toxic idiots exist in any multiplayer game, so nothing you cannot do except train yourself to not tilt and not care. Surprisingly, you mentioned you are always bulied in EGC as a killer, where I, as a killer, saw idiots, well, maybe 10 times (I'm 2K hours). But on survivor side, every 5th killer would be tilted salty clown, losing his marbles and abusing everyone in game and insulting in EGC. Maybe it is server regional thing, i don't know.
Best of luck to you anyway! :)
I think it may have something to do with my frequency of play and the times that I'm able to play. I work very late and the majority of my games tend to be after midnight. My time in que is usually very low, so I do get to play a good amount of games. I think my problem is the fact that I am very much not running in to bully squads every single game, but that experience offsets my fun so much. 5 games in a night will usually be 2 neutral/positive games and 3 negative experiences via what I described above. Maybe its because I'm so close to the reset? Maybe it's because those 2 games get over shadowed so heavily in my mind by the bad games. I think a lot of me getting to enjoy this game is going to be trying to focus on the fun times rather then getting taken down by the bad. I think I just feel it a little harder now because I'm so new into the game and community.
