I don't think it should be 4. That's way way too many. From 1 survivor alone that's enough to restore the best pallets on the map, and with 2 that's 8 pallets, 3 that's 12, 4 that's 16 - and with the spawn randomiser, that could potentially be the entirety of the pallets in that map, if not close.

If the killer's "counter" were to be leaving the pallet there unbroken, someone with AMN can come along and fix that.

It should only be 1 pallet imo, or..

Get rid of the pallet part altogether and make it the ability to repair breakable walls

The part you mentioned "and with 2 that's 8 pallets, 3 that's 12, 4 that's 16", you must had read past one part i said,

"Once you or a teammate fully repairs any Pallet or Breakable Wall that was destroyed by the Killer with the use of "Handyman" or from a Toolbox, a token will be consumed."

So if someone else repairs it but you don't, you would still lose a token, so the max regardless would be 4, but idk, i had only suggested 4 so each individual survivor could have a chance to use it, the time it takes to do it, idk, i just thought making it that long would be fine because it is quite time consuming, but just being able to repair it once along with other effects probably does sound a LOT better for sure.

Hopefully an idea like this bhvr can maybe consider bringing into the game without actually hurting the killer too much and without easily abusing it as well.

  • New Idea:

-Hooking a Survivor twice in a row if it's both their first and second hook state, the Entity will be called upon, pulling all hooks underground and will swap positions.

-Once all hooks have been swapped, they will then start to respawn, being pulled back out from underneath the ground.

-Once all hooks have been swapped and pulled out of the ground, the hooked Survivor will respawn on their same hook beyond 32 meters from your position.

-The Killer can NOT see the Aura of the hook the Survivor is currently on.

Hook Swaps will not occur under these conditions:

    1. If it's a basement hook.

    2. If all 5 Generators have been completed.

    3. If the Survivor has been hooked twice in a row, but if it's their second and third hook state.

    4. Hooking another Survivor will not trigger it.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/374852/idea-to-reducing-camping-tunneling

    Idea to reducing Camping/Tunneling

    1) Learn how to loop

    2) Stop unhook while the killer is nearby

    3) Stop use BT to bodyblock

    4) Learn how to loop

    here, solved your Camping/Tunneling issue

    1. You do realize there are times where map designs are ######### and have very limited resources right?
    2. That’s a Survivor making bad choice obviously.
    3. Bodyblocking with bt is also obviously a stupid decision, even when i play killer, if a survivor does that too me, i stay on them.
    4. Same thing as #1

Camping would not be a problem if Survivors did Gens in response.

Tunneling would not be an issue if Survivors didnt pull the Survivor off the hook near the Killer.

Why are we nerfing Killers ability to apply pressure to a rescue because Survivors don't bother to properly counter play?

Seems like the only gameplay you want Killers to have is to chase and chase, there apparently should be no thinking about keeping Survivors from unhooking. You are removing Killer's choice in regards on what they can do, Why should the Killer role be made more boring because its possible for the Killer to use their power of speed and positioning???

If you think its too hard for Survivors to even rescue, then make a case to bhvr for them to ensure proper fun counter play for survivors instead of limiting the playstyles of what a Killer can do.

I look at the game from both perspectives, 4 years in a row i have been a killer main more than playing the survivor role, but this past year, i have had people wanting to do some swf games, so i got to experience survivor a lot more than what I usually play, I understand what killers need to do and the stress some too don’t get me wrong.

When I play Killer, i like going for a 12 hook game because it’s more fun that way, that’s just my play style, and yes I understand there a lot of times where killers can’t afford to go for 12 hook, whether if it’s slugging, camping, tunneling, and go for a 3 gen strat, which sometimes probably doesn’t work out the way you want it to, but if you can go for these plays and succeed, then that’s good.

The point I was trying to make was eliminating the unfun tactics this game has, camping and tunneling are 2 of them, while yes when I’m playing survivor, I don’t give a rats ass if it’s happening to me or not, as a matter of fact, if I’m getting camped or tunneled and the killer still manages to get a 3 or 4k, i get mad at my teammates for going for altruistic plays instead of finishing the damn gens and getting the hell out.

Obviously there are some stuff here and there survivors have that could use some nerfs or reworks, which in today’s time, there aren’t that many stuff left survivors have that’s annoying and unfun to go against, not saying they don’t have any, but there are some just not as many, but that’s a different topic though.

Point being, camping and tunneling is an unfun strat whether if there is counter play or not, and some killers, not much of them you can counter it (sometimes trickster, leatherface, hillbilly, sometimes myers).

And I’m not saying completely do away with camping and tunneling because sometimes it does need to be done, I’m just suggesting to heavily reduce it to where survivors have a higher chance of avoiding it so that way they have a chance of doing more stuff in the game.

Idea to stop camping and tunneling:

Stop making the map bigger and adding tiles that are 100% favoring the survivors then maybe killers will actually want to chase.

I can assure you, most of the time killer's that do that, it has nothing to do with the tiles or the map layout, i've dealt with bs like that and is possible to come back from, not saying it's easy, just saying it's possible, had a team that bumped 4 gens out and i had like 4 or 5 hooks, and it turned into 12, there are times you don't have to, believe me, and i'm not saying you're wrong about the map layouts, there are times that's bullshit, i'm just saying, majority of the time killer's don't have to, they'll either be doing it out of being a dick because they've had some bad games before, or because they think it is the right play even though it's not and sometimes ends up costing them the game, but either way, it's just unfun to be on the receiving end or even attempting it yourself, i'm a killer main myself unless i'm playing with friends, in that case i'll play a lot of survivor.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/366626/brand-new-part-rework-idea

I would like BNP to become an anti slowdown tool. Basically locking a gen to 50% at minimum and can't regress past that by any means.

I do think that BNPs are the biggest offender for gen rushing, so i would love the tool to become an anti slowdown tool instead of a gen rushing tool

Been thinking about this idea, and sounds interesting, I'll do you one better.

At any progression you decide to implement the Brand New Part on the Generator, the Generator cannot regress below that progression by any means.

Just in case the way I worded this sends any confusion, I'll give you an example.

If a Survivor uses the Brand New Part with the Generator at 33% progress, the Generator cannot regress below 33%.

If they use it at 70% progress, the Generator cannot regress below 70% by any means.

But it would still deplete your toolbox along with its addons.

brand new part, anti-hemorrhagic syringe, styptic agent, and keys in general need reworks.

personally... i think brand new part should destroy the tookbox just like syringe and agent.

I think several more stuff than that should be reworked, (dead hard for ex.) and yeah you are right, that stuff needs to be reworked as well and i am on your side for that, and you mentioned brand new part should destroy the toolbox, that was part of my idea lol, it’s the very last thing I mentioned for it.

Its terrible right now and one of the worst gen defense perks you can have in the current meta!

If not 150% then 125% is fair! Undying/Ruin is very bad atm.

I feel like with a bunch of already gen regression/reduced generator speeds killer already has, i know this is quite an unpopular thing to say, but i am happy where hex ruin is at, however i do find it stupid that the perk deactivates after a survivor has been sacrificed, to be honest, I wouldn’t mind if they eliminated the “hex” effect from the perk and kept it at based. But keeping it as a hex, a cool neat idea I thought of that while this perk is active, maybe each totem destroyed that’s not the hex ruin totem, the regression penalty gets increased by 100%, that would a cool effect, but i think 100% regression is fine but for sure get rid of the effect where it disables after a survivor has been sacrifice because i do find it a tad bit ridiculous that happens, i have actually experimented with current ruin and you can get some use out of it with the cenobite along with perk and addon combos.

current punishment for DC is mm ban timer,

poor internet ,game bug, getting kicked for certain behavior by stalker or mods.all these are put into the DC ban timer.

for a game with only one game mode,i think the punishment is high enough,

like what am i saying right now,i mean dady devs team, please tell the difference between all these people, and apply DC ban timer accordingly.

my story is ,i dont know whether i have a poor internet,or is it someone in the background kicking me.i cant never tell the difference,i am only a rookie gamer, anyways,i bought 4 dbd account in order to keep playing the game and avoid ban timer idleness.

Little ridiculous you bought the game on 4 accounts lol, but you do you, whenever someone does legitimately get disconnected whether from internet issues, server issues, or maybe even a possibility that someone hacked into your internet and forced you out of a game (which is possible from what i heard, your ip address can get leaker to other people in this game which is stupid) those issues are different since it’s not really an intentional dc, even though having those in a game does suck, but not putting the blame on the actual player themselves if that were to happen, mainly what I’m getting at is you have a survivor or killer will get outplayed, yeet! Rage quit, survivor gets downed or hooked, yeet! Rage quit, killer gets flashlight blinded or pallet stunned, yeet! Rage quit, like those are most situations i’m talking about, as far as internet or server issues goes, i feel like the game should detect that, whether if it possible or not i have no clue, but if it is i hope one day bhvr can implement that into this game so it doesn’t happen to those who legitimately gets kicked from a game.

Until BHVR gives players real incentives to stay in a match as long as possible, nothing will change. Bloodpoints clearly aren't cutting it. It's a chore to even spend them and the bloodweb is full of junk.

Come up with better rewards for average survival time in matches. Stiffer penalties won't accomplish anything in my opinion.

if players aren’t happy that they aren’t getting anything from a game aside from bloodpoints, then what’s the point of them qing into a game in the first place? I mean i guess i can understand whenever a survivor is not enjoying a game or having fun with the game, but even then, just finish the game you’re currently playing and don’t play it anymore after, but there are a lot of situations where a player will dc over the most ridiculous reasons, whether if it’s the killer/perks they go against, getting outplayed, completely understandable if a survivor if being bodyblocked in a corner and the killer isn’t letting them move at all, in that case no choice but to dc and report the killer, or if your internet goes out, but i feel like the game should detect that but whatever, point being, if you’re going into a game and expect a fun time or outplaying the other side, then don’t, because if you know you’re not getting anything out of playing a game besides bloodpoints and you’re going to dc over it, just don’t join the game at all because you are ruining everyone else’s experience
