  • You do in fact have a skill issue if your only strategy for playing killer is relying on tunneling. There are options you just won't pick them. Stop tunneling, and learn to play the game the right way. Clearly the devs agree that tunneling isn't healthy for the game.

  • Idk,but when I go up on a survivors face, and go SHHHH! I get goosebumps lol.

  • Playing killer right now is the only way to avoid kaneki. I'm just gonna play killer till changes come for kaneki. I'm so tired of being stunlocked into a animation for a billion years, then being completely helpless cause he has a free hit mechanic.

  • Tonight I've been getting a lot of pigs, and one ghoul. Just saying ghoul isn't overpowered. He takes a free hit from you,and then turns into a M1 killer. I'm easily able to loop ghoul after the free hit. What I think needs to change is his hit scan. Hitting me around corners and walls, locking me into a animation is obnoxious. He isn't stronger than spirit on the tier list imo.

  • I bought him,but now I wish I waited cause there so much drama about him that it's ruining playing him. For one there too many people playing him,and if I play kaneki I'll most likely get survivors who kill themselves, and now cause of the none stop complaining posts about him he will probably get the same treatment skull merchant got. So now I feel like I wasted 5 dollars. For now on I know not to buy a killer that comes out immediately. Instead I'm going to wait for the nerf update to see if that killer is worth buying still. Best advice I can give to other gamers.

  • Yeah this is play I kinda stopped playing kaneki. I don't want my hopes crushes. He a fun killer, and I already can see by all the complaining he will be nerfed to oblivion.

I once had a bully squad against me, who sent me to Autohaven out of all places. I quickly realized what they were up to, and while I normally play killer in a mild-mannered way (going for 8 hooks before sacrificing), this time the white gloves came off, and I resorted to slugging them. If they want to have fun on my behalf, then I can have "fun" on theirs as well 😈

I really like your comment. I too normally try to play in a manner of just going for 8 hooks. Not paying attention to kills helps me enjoy killer more, and lessons the stress of the killer role. I have 1.5k hours in DBD, and most of that was playing solo Q. I'm still in the killer phase where I'm bouncing around the killer roster to see which killer I enjoy playing the most. So , normally I don't have the skill as a killer yet to stomp a SWF squad sadly.

I agree. The more killers who just surrender and not imrpove, the more wont make it into the upper tiers of MMR. Sounds good to me, working as intended.

Rough when you get these groups. But at least its not very often. I usually try to use it as an opportunity to practice against such teams.

You know what they will probably do. So if you're chasing someone and they are trying to go by a set of lockers, almost out of their way, then its probably to be head on. Bait it! Lots of lil tricks to do before actually picking up a body.

Cant really tell in the lobby if Lightborn is needed, but I dont feel you'll need it regardless if you play well. If you're getting these squads, then I think you play well, and it will be assumed.

I need to know what you want from this. Do you want to imrpove vs these types, or is this just a venting thread? I will bow out and leave ya be if the latter, we all need it sometimes lol. If you do want to improve, getting a good group together for some customs is really the absolute best training.

Frankly I don't understand why anyone would want to raise there MMR,and constantly go against sweaty squads. This isn't some league of legends tournament. Yes I want to be good with my killer of choice, but above all else I just want to have fun. Mess around with a killer, and chase around some survivors. Get some blood points. High MMR is for sweats. I'm good with that. The point of this thread is how killers keep playing killer without feeling exhausted afterwords cause more then rarely do I come across a group of SWF who play like that, or it's a SWF couple who intentionally kills themselves once I killed there BF/GF. Matches like that get old really fast.

The only reason to play like that is to harass or aggravate the opposing player. They derive enjoyment from the lack of fun the opposing player expresses, which is odd.

Anyways, just refuse to do what they keep trying to get you to do. Do something else. They want to flashlight or flashbang? just leave them on the floor. They want to head on? Break chase and find something else when they lead near lockers. They want to run a specific loop? just head to another. Sabo on a map with spread hooks? just leave them on the floor.

Eventually the most common setups and map pairs repeat themselves, so like sabo on Preschool, you get used to, roll your eyes and just work on what you want to.

Usually they get frustrated and do something stupid.

Is that how most killers handle matches like that, Just basically make the match end as fast as possible, and move on? I do suppose that's really the only thing to do. It does suck that they won't give us a proper surrender option.

  • Im not. I came back after a break, and DBD feels awful. Most of my games our whole team whipes at 5 gens. Not balanced at all.

Just a note: Openly admitting to a DC here can get you warned or temp banned IIRC. You might want to be careful about that 😂

But, main topic, I whole heartedly agree with you that it's egregious on how they're behaving.

You mean admitting to my whole team being slugged out on the ground while the killer watches us bleed out at 5 gens? No this isn't a strategy. This wasn't some 3v1 scenario. This was at 5 gens a killer has my whole team on the floor while he is standing there bleeding us out. If this wasn't a issue then why are they adding in a surrender option in the next update for this exact scenario? Hmmm I wonder. 🤔

  • How can anyone defends a killer having all survivors in the game mode slugged on the ground at 5 gens just standing there doing nothing, but waiting for them to bleed out. Nobody did anything to deserve this they just started slugging for no reason, and leaving everyone on the floor. I'm sorry, but I'm not waiting 5-10 minutes to lay there bleeding out cause the killer has some problem. BHVR really needs to do something about this.

He’s fun to play until you go against competent survivors. He has always been and always will be a noob stomper but once the team he’s going against knows how to loop him he feels kinda helpless. Alarm clocks are way too easy to keep out of the dream world for most of the match, his snares are decent but very reactable since they don’t move that fast, the slowdown from snares are decent but often not even enough to beat the survivor to a pallet unless you were already pretty close to them, and the dream pallets are just a glorified zoning tool. You’ll probably never get hits with the pallets unless the survivor is looking behind themselves too much in a chase. The teleport is nice but good survivors know to wake up before healing so you’ll almost never get tp value on healing survivors. Overall he’s decent but I feel they could’ve done more and he could’ve used some more tweaks during the bugfix patches rather than just a VFX when he’s teleporting to healing survivors.

Yeah. I agree with you. I have 1.5k hours in dbd,and I've always had the hardest time getting into killer. My problem is I'll have a few good games, and then my MMR thinks I'm some god player at DBD. So I'll then get paired up with players who know every ins and outs of every killer, and can dodge most of there abilities. So it really limits you to what killers you can actually play cause a lot of killers just aren't good at higher MMR. I really hate the MMR system, and hope it changes in the future.
