Just to let folks know...we've done an update on our side so that those who should have received the Charm, will have received it now. The Easter Egg itself is still secret - in as much I'm not saying how it's gained, but those who've made the requirements should restart and then they should get the charm in their inventory.

Just to clear up something to avoid confusion, it would be unlikely that there would be a specific hotfix needed for this, normally on these types of cases we can do them from our own systems.
And no, there was no fix for the issue included in today's hotfix.
When I have more information that I can share, I will update here to keep you all informed.

Also even a special thanks to the people that told us how they thought they got the charm or how the charm was supposed to work! Even if it was stuff echoed in the past that evidently did nothing in the grand scheme of things! They only tried their best to help in anyway they could, see you all in the fog! or maybe even back here again soon to say that we FINALLY got the charm! 😁

This makes me wonder tbh, cause if there are codes out there for this charm, wouldn't that mean not everyone is supposed to get it by logging in and waiting for the second tape? Why giving away codes, when everyone has the chance to get it randomly, some sooner, some later? It's getting more and more confusing.
I think he just means that he won a Chapter code from a Fog Whisperer

After more than 2 months I waited, and finally, I sent the report to them, and they just sent AC Charm. Eh, but I want to ask does this Well Charm need to buy the Sadako DLC to get it?

Judging from everyone getting the Cursed Tape intro and Wrathful Well charm for free on other platforms and only on PlayStation if you either didn't buy the Chapter or bought the character(s) using Auric Cells, I'd say something has went wrong in regards to how the charm gets distributed. Its very well bugged at this point at least for PlayStation users who purchased the Chapter on the PlayStation Store (unless someone can come forward and prove me wrong on it). I don't know how its happened honestly.

People have logged in on their PC and Switch accounts after having not played those platforms in a long time and it has given them the charm for free.
Questions though: Do you play on PlayStation?
Have you purchased the DLC through getting character(s) by Auric Cell or your platforms Store?

Assuming that you're on PlayStation and that the people that bought any of the characters with cells got it. Which is weird since it seems every platform except PS may just be getting it for free regardless of purchase. Yet the type of way you purchased the Chapter might be affecting it only on PlayStation

I know people on PlayStation that got the charm but they didn't buy the Chapter, they got the characters through Auric Cell. Its so strange, honestly. We're on Day 7 with no charm today guys :(

Coming back to what I said earlier PS4 or PS5 only. Did any of you guys purchase the Chapter on the PlayStation Store instead of with Auric Cells?

I've tried everything since the patch came out and I'm just at a loss for words. If theres supposed to be an Easter Egg mechanically tied to something you've done in-game it is 100% not working properly at all. Since as evidenced here AFK accounts on certain platforms receive the charm instantly after having not played the game for a while, if at all. Yet people who play the game will either still get it randomly distributed or like me, or rather all of us still waiting in this case will just never get it at all.
I am assuming its working as intended with the Eater Egg being just the Cursed Video Tape playing after the boot up Menu, but I am pretty sure for some accounts like the Iridecent Shard situation with Leatherface is that the distribution factor is bugged and just not giving it to everyone.
My Platform is PlayStation, mostly PS5 so it might actually be mostly a problem on the PlayStation versions of the game as well. Alls I can say is I hope the Hotfix 2 patch (if we get one this week, we usually do.) will address the Wrathful Well situation. Or they can just please do us a solid and create a code for the charm because of the buggy or RNG distribution (and at least make the code time-limited for another 7 days or something.

I've encountered this against a Wraith uncloaked his music didn't play at all but I'd always hear the heartbeat. A friend on PS4 said he also encountered this against a Pig. He only heard the heartbeat when she was not crouched and no music.

Hasn't happened to me yet but it might also correlate to the no-reg pallet stun bug going on as well right now. That might be somehow interfering with the perk in a janky way which. Try testing Spirit Fury and Enduring separately while this bug is active to see if they work well by themselves or if its both used at once causing the problem. :)

Yeah, my friends tried that challenge today and didn't get it until one of them eventually let the animation fully playout without moving or cancelling it in any way. That's the way to get it right now, like some of the posters here have already said as well. Good luck getting your challenge OP!
