Betahub lists all platforms that the game is played on, and the game is played on Switch 2.
There is nothing new on our side regarding any updates for Switch or a dedicated port I'm afraid.
but how come it’s a separate tag? Think about it, if all the versions listed there have their own unique version, why is switch 2 even there, I get it’s a way to play the game, but it’s still using the original switch 1 version of the game?? That’s why it confused me, because you guys at BHVR never announced a port or upgrade pack path option for its own dedicated version, and it already sucks us switch players need to deal with the patch delays because of the certification process changes, I get the original switch is weaker hardware and needs time but this is really unfortunate to deal with when switch 2 gets dragged down with it

Yep, I had to play on my pc earlier just to crossplay, but like bruh I just wanted to play on my switch 2 but they just had to release a random patch, idk if it’ll come soon but it gets annoying having to deal with this especially because I have a switch 2 and enjoy playing on there, but cmon BHVR is there a reason the beta hub has a switch 2 listing as a platform getting updated? Unless that means a native port in the works, but right now it’s a genuine pain in the ass you guys are dragging a newer system down with its original, like yes switch 1 is old and it needs time for proper patching now, but a switch 2 port can at least fix the delays and give us switch 2 owners a better experience, so many people turn down switch 2 because it’s capped at the switch 1 settings and runs it slightly better, but the system has more potential but backwards compatibility is the only option, and it’s crazy considering it’s been a year since the system has been out, but I’d think that would be enough time to at least get something done right? A native port would fix the issues switch 1 has, better graphics, better connection for parties, 60 fps, and no patch delays. Please tell me something is going on, like an actual native port and a upgrade pack

yeah lowkey it’s unfortunate NOTHING has been said still, this is something that is genuinely needed and still hasn’t even happened, it’s been a year since the system has been out and they haven’t changed anything, like yes backwards compatibility works but the game can be given so much more for that console, 60 FPS and better graphical detail, it sucks that they haven’t even done it yet, like PLEASE make a native port and upgrade pack, we desperately need it and it’s long overdue

I’m sorry, But I disagree.
No PS6 or Xbox etc will release right now with the ram prices this high. It would be a death sentence with pricing.Maybe in late 2028 if that but I say early 2029.
The Nintendo Switch 2 can handle very well & is already out performs Xbox in certain games.
Such as, Pragmata, Final Fantasy 7 etc.
Yes Mat & Behaviour are keeping there cards too close to there chest.Even so what’s inside the Nintendo Switch 2,
Is well able & is extremely capable to run the future graphics of DBD easily.
(And the current graphics to very easily too)
We just need an optimised exclusive version of Dead By Daylight for the Nintendo Switch 2.
It can easily hit 60fps & above, With upscaling or not. It would work very well for DBD especially Graphically/FPS on NS2.
I mean look how stunning Resident Evil Requiem looked on NS2.
The original Switch won’t handle the future DBD,We loyal Dead By Daylight/Nintendo fans new & old. Deserve an Nintendo Switch 2 version for DBD.
And we’ll happily pay for it Behaviour !

It’s been an darn year since Nintendo Switch 2 has been out & it’s a joke Behaviour hasn’t announced nothing honestly,
They need to wake up & at least give us some confidence back already.
That surprise, “ there at least been working on it already & we gotta wait little longer” Tell us that at least !
That would at least give us an definite answer.
Right now they won’t admit nor deny it, Even in a recent interview with IGN they said they can’t answer the question. That would DBD coming to Nintendo Switch 2 ?

I’ve been playing in the fog since 2019,
I & we all at least deserve not to lose our purchases. Because Behaviour never gave us Nintendo fans a proper cross save!
Because we all know the Nintendo Switch 1 won’t handle the future of DBD at all.
Only the Nintendo Switch 2 can & will prove excellent for DBD bringing even more players to the fog!

That exact moment at IGN gave me hope for a switch 2 port or upgrade pack to be announced, and you’re right when you say that the switch 1 cannot handle the future of dbd, the console is extremely outdated and barely runs the game right now and is a complete mess, but it is impressive that it’s up to date with everything else and at least makes switch 1 an option to play (although patch delays also cause the system to be even more of a mess) but the whole graphical overhaul could probably just kill switch 1 all together, and heck that would be surprising if they can even get that detail working on the system, but that’s not gonna be possible if the system simply cannot handle that exact level of detail, we still have to wait for the graphical overhaul to happen, but that could just kill switch 1 entirely once it comes, the switch 2 could handle that new look, especially cause it runs a lot of modern games really well, I really hope they can consider this otherwise the system might be in trouble when it’s time to make the graphical changes

Just hopped off the stream, I was WAITING for something to be said about a port or upgrade pack, but they even mentioned all these like graphical overhaul stuff, so I kinda got my hopes up it would have led to that, but it was disappointing that they didn't mention ANYTHING about the Switch 2 getting something, that really sucks and it might be possible that they STILL haven't even started that, I mean like the game is gonna look more demanding and a weather system to the game, who knows if switch 1 can even be stable once those things are added. Even as a nintendo fan boy I can understand that it might run not too good on the system, and I get that they said they aren't planning on discontinuing the support for switch 1 and it might be hell, but the patch delays and overall current switch 2 dbd using switch 1 version is really bringing it down and making people see less potential in the system, like yes it runs better but it could be so much more and really help the system if a port was out by now, it sucks that didn't say anything to at least address the switch 2 or say that they are working on at least something

Saw this forum and just had to say something, I’ve been playing dbd on switch 2 for a while already, when I tried it on switch 1 using my Splatoon 3 OLED, it was an OKAY port, it had issues running on a outdated system, but when I tried it on switch 2, it was actually more enjoyable than people think, but I definitely think the team can squeeze in a new version of the game at some point, heck the switch 2 is already 1 year old and there still isn’t a new port! I’ve personally have like 1,700+ on the game because of PC and switch 2, I would really enjoy a native port of the game and I hope something will be announced during the 10th anniversary, I started playing dbd on switch 2 more often than my pc just because of how big of a Nintendo fan I am! But I was really disappointed when we started getting delays because of the change in certification that was made at Nintendo, which I understand since switch 1 is getting really old and they have to double check that newer updates on dbd aren’t gonna break the system, I even got a friend to play dbd and they have a switch 1, but a switch 2 patch could probably avoid all that stuff just because it’s newer hardware and could actually manage unreal engine stuff, heck Rn I’m annoyed that the switch 1 version has some character hair missing, huntress lost her axe when you play as her, Freddy is apparently glitched, and something I noticed happening too much on switch 2 beside of current glitches is constantly getting disconnected from someone’s party, I can’t tell you how many times that’s happened, it even happened when I was playing with a twitch friend! I had to apologize because I felt like I was taking too long, but seriously can you please consider that and the overall games look and possible performance upgrades? Please make like an upgrade pack option as well, I have the game on game card and it’s nice to own since you don’t usually see physical dbd anymore, I wouldn’t mind downloading more data, I have the space! And I wouldn’t mind paying a few bucks for the option to switch over to a switch 2 port, I already own a decent amount of switch 2 upgrades! Remember, with backward compatibility / NX compatibility, the game is a stable 30FPS and loads way faster and is on time with other systems, it just suffers from the resolution and graphical limitations and the cap of 30FPS, I definitely think with an upgrade 60FPS and higher graphical choices would be possible, and hopefully fix the random disconnection party issue, please do it for us Nintendo switch 2 owners!
