This has started happening to me within the last 24 hours. I can't get through a match without the game disconnecting, and the match disconnect penalties keep adding up. I think I'm up to 30 minutes now. All my other online games work fine. I have a 300MB down / 100 MB up Internet connection. I've reset both the Wi-Fi router and modem multiple times. Cold booted the PC multiple times. Memory cleared. The only thing that's changed is I bought the Hellraiser and Resident Evil chapters yesterday. Seems more than a little coincidental. I've played over 4200 hours in the the game, and the tech issues are mounting and getting more frequent. I can't wait until VHS goes live so I can drop DBD.

The penalty seems pretty drastic, especially considering how many times the game disconnects on its own. Face it, DBD is bug-riddled. Any survivor wishing to avoid the penalty can simply run up to the killer and let him do his thing. The other survivors are still left in the lurch and the intentional DC'er is out of the match. I don't see how the penalty solves the problem.
