  • I am a Killer Main on DBD. I don't enjoy playing as Survivor, but I do understand them. What they're doing to killers now with the current string of nerfs is removing perks that help players ease into a killer rather than removing the genuine problem that Survivors had no proper way to counter the current anti-meta. Even now, it's all about Gen rushing, and Hex: Ruin nerf just makes it worse. Not gonna lie, been finding the speed of the matches both daunting and rather taking the fun out of the game. As the Killer, you should be carefully hunting your prey, not forced to bullrush them. As Survivor, you shouldn't have to only rush gens to be victorious. I honestly think what DBD suffers from right now is the constant use of the same formula. They need to make more match types so people appreciate when the game is balanced...

  • As a Rank 1 Killer Main, the Survivors that give me the most trouble are the Stealthy ones helping their team from the shadows. A balance of Stealth and Distraction actually goes a LONG way. Can't tell you how often I come across these "bold looper" types just for me to ruin their day for being so arrogant. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I honestly appreciate a good Stealth Player when I see one. Most of the team survives thanks to them.

  • I honestly view DS the same way I view Insta-heals. If the survivor HAS to use it in the first place, they're likely not gonna get far. DS is understandable in low-ranks or when you're playing solo and got those killers who are just REALLY bad at finding the other survivors (or you're running distraction), but it's actually a wasted perk slot when you get into Purple and Red ranks I find. Not to mention, Insta-heals are just a free one health state of you use it on yourself, and an insta-pickup to avoid getting grabbed if you use it on someone else. They're stuff that has a bad stigma because of how they USED to be or how they used to be used. DS used to be literally ANYTIME you got picked up which was disgusting. Insta-heals used to be used in "hook-me-if-you-can" builds (which used to be WAY worse than they are now). I actually (as a killer main) sorta sympathize with Survivors on the rework of Insta-heals since they weren't even that good to begin with...

  • I just read the the whole forum here and got one thing to say to the Survivor players complaining about NOED.

That Hex is hot garbage in high-ranks. It can be so easily countered by simply looking for the totem. If you don't cleanse totems from the get-go, or have a teammate doing it, your team has it coming for a letting a bad killer use it. XD (No offense meant.)

  • Did I miss this game somehow being extremely competitive and not fun? ...Or am I in the wrong thread right now?

You don't need to play Trapper to level him up.

Just dump BP into him without playing him.

Thanks for that tip mate. I didn't know BP carried between all killers.

  • A strategy that has been working very solid for me is sticking to the edges of the map, and if it's an open field/forest map, utilize the talk grass/cattail/corn stalks to my advantage while crouching when I do my patrolling. Ghostface seems to be most effective as a Single-Target Rushdown Stealth Killer. (Yes, I threw these together, I'm not a pro.) I've successfully made it to Rank 7 using mostly Ghostface and have had very few losses with him. I usually lose to a well coordinated team (and occasionally pallet looping and flashlight spamming until I figured out how to shut that down). Basically, when you start attacking someone, you don't let them get away without getting them hooked. He requires a lot more mind games and stealth than other killers, but when used right, is BRUTAL. He even has a perk that helps him in a chase (albeit specific) where you can see someone's aura when they decide to do a rushed action. It demotes people from vaulting their way to a hiding spot. There's also add-ons you can slap on Ghostface that make it so the survivor has to be practically up your ass to detect you, which by then is usually too late for them. The only buff Ghostface needs is some kinda add-on that'll help him destroy pallets faster. Getting Trapper's is kind of a pain for me. I can't stand playing Trapper.
